In memory of a great man - STEVE JOBS

This year the world lost an incredible businessman, designer and human but his quotes will never die.
Here are some of the most inspirational Steve Jobs quotes.

Thank you, Steve!

"For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: 'If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?' And whenever the answer has been 'No' for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something."

"Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful… that’s what matters to me."

"We’ve gone through the operating system and looked at everything and asked how can we simplify this and make it more powerful at the same time."

"I'm sorry, it's true. Having children really changes your view on these things. We're born, we live for a brief instant, and we die. It's been happening for a long time. Technology is not changing it much - if at all."

"If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on."

"As individuals, people are inherently good. I have a somewhat more pessimistic view of people in groups. And I remain extremely concerned when I see what's happening in our country, which is in many ways the luckiest place in the world. We don't seem to be excited about making our country a better place for our kids."

"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

"It took us three years to build the NeXT computer. If we'd given customers what they said they wanted, we'd have built a computer they'd have been happy with a year after we spoke to them - not something they'd want now."

"We don’t get a chance to do that many things, and every one should be really excellent. Because this is our life. Life is brief, and then you die, you know? And we’ve all chosen to do this with our lives. So it better be damn good. It better be worth it."

"Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because they were able to connect experiences they've had and synthesize new things."

"Japan's very interesting. Some people think it copies things. I don't think that anymore. I think what they do is reinvent things. They will get something that's already been invented and study it until they thoroughly understand it. In some cases, they understand it better than the original inventor."

"Almost everything--all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure--these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."

"My favorite things in life don't cost any money. It's really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time."

"Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."

"So when a good idea comes, you know, part of my job is to move it around, just see what different people think, get people talking about it, argue with people about it, get ideas moving among that group of 100 people, get different people together to explore different aspects of it quietly, and, you know – just explore things."

"Older people sit down and ask, 'What is it?' but the boy asks, 'What can I do with it?."

Are you hungry?

No doubt that the pizza is one of the world's most favourite food.  No matter where you live there are some recipes for any taste that you can cook at home.

The first thing we need so we can make a pizza is the pizza dough, which is the same as bread dough. What you need is :
  1. 1 and ½ cup of warm water
  2. 1 and ½ tea spoon of salt
  3. 1 and ½ tea spoon of yeast
  4. 3 cups of flour
Mix all ingredients together with a mixer or you can put them in a bread machine. Wait for about 2 hours to rise and you have the pizza dough.

Now, when the dough is ready, you can choose from one of the most famous pizza recipes:

Pizza Margherita

Ingredients: 1 and ½ tea spoon of olive oil; 4 peeled, drained and seeded tomatoes; 2 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped; 200 gr (8 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese; dried basil.

Pizza al Prosciutto

Ingredients: 2-3 ounces (80 gr) finely sliced cooked ham; 1/2 cup tomato sauce or chopped canned tomatoes, and  200 gr (8 oz) shredded mozzarella; a few drops olive oil.

Pizza Prosciutto e Funghi
Ingredients: a cup finely sliced Champignon mushrooms; 2-3 ounces (80 gr) finely sliced cooked ham; 1/2 cup tomato sauce or chopped canned tomatoes, and  200 gr (8 oz) shredded mozzarella; a few drops olive oil.

Pizza La Napoletana

Ingredients:  1/2 cup tomato sauce or chopped canned tomatoes; 5-6 anchovy filets; 1 tablespoon rinsed salted or pickled capers; a dusting of oregano;  1/4 pound shredded mozzarella; a few drops olive oil .
Pizza Capricciosa
Ingredients: 1/2 cup tomato sauce or chopped canned tomatoes, and  200 gr (8 oz) shredded mozzarella; 1 Italian sausage; 8 thin slices salamino piccante (pepperoni);  5 thinly sliced ham; 2 canned artichoke hearts; a few drops olive oil.
Buon appetito!

Did you know?: The popular pizza Margherita owes its name to Italy's Queen Margherita who in 1889 visited the Pizzeria Brandi in Naples. The Pizzaioli (pizza maker) on duty that day, Rafaele Esposito created a pizza for the Queen that contained the three colors of the new Italian flag. The red of tomato, white of the mozzarella and fresh green basil was a hit with the Queen and the rest of the world. Neapolitan style pizza had now spread throughout Italy and each region started designing their own versions based on the Italian culinary rule of fresh, local ingredients.

New cars coming up in 2012

2012 is knocking on the door. If you're planning to buy a new car, here is a list of upcoming cars that look promising enough to delay a purchase.

2012 Hyundai Veloster

The new Hyundai Veloster is an aggressively-styled 3-door coupe (1 door on the left, 2 on the right) with a 1.6 liter direct-injected engine and the first application of Hyundai's home-grown six-speed twin-clutch automatic transmission. Along with its stand-out styling, the Veloster boasts a 40 MPG highway rating -- and if the rumors are correct, the 136 horsepower 1.6 liter engine will be joined by a 200 horsepower turbocharged version.

2012 Volkswagen Beetle

The VW Beetle has a new mission: Less cute, more sport. Updated “retro” styling on somewhat larger dimensions and a roomier, more practical interior are said to be the highlights. The car will launch in mainstay-selling 2-door hatchback sedan form. The 2.5-liter 5-cylinder will remain the mainstay engine for the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle. The Bug should be available with a pair of turbocharged 4-cylinder engines for the first time in several years, though both will be VW’s latest 2.0-liter designs: a 200-horsepower gasoline unit with direct fuel injection and a 140-horsepower “clean diesel” TDI.

2012 Ford Focus

The Focus is available in both sedan and hatchback versions and is powered by a 2-liter 160 horsepower engine. EPA fuel economy estimates are as high as 28 MPG city/40 MPG highway with the SFE package and 6-speed twin-clutch automatic transmission.

2012 Ford Focus Electric

Ford will introduce an all-electric battery-powered version of the Focus in select markets. The Focus Electric has a 100 mile range and will charge in half the time of the Nissan Leaf.

2012 Subaru Impreza

The star feature of the 2012 Subaru Impreza is the fuel economy, which is expected to be rated at 27 mpg in the city and 36 on the highway--a 30 percent increase over the previous model. That leap in fuel efficiency is due in no small part to the new, 2-liter boxer-style engine, which provides a 10 percent fuel economy gain compared to the outgoing 2.5-liter engine. As with any give, there will be a little take: you have only 148 horsepower to play with in the 2012 Impreza, compared to 170 hp found in the previous model year.
